Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun and Kim Byung Man to Emcee a New Sports Variety Show

After the cancellation of KBS’s “Moonlight Prince,” a new show is underway, titled “Our Town Physical Variety” (working title) and features three new emcees, Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun and Kim Byung Man.

Sources from KBS spoke with Star News on March 26 and said, “The new show, ‘Our Town Sports Variety’ has been confirmed to replace ‘Moonlight Prince,'” and “Kang Ho Dong and Lee Soo Geun will be the new MCs.”

They continued, “Besides Kang Ho Dong and Lee Soo Geun, Kim Byung Man will also join the MC panel. We plan on adding other emcees to the panel as well.”

“Our Town Physical Variety” is actually short for “Our Town’s Commander of Variety TV and Physical Training.” Director Lee Ye Ji along with “1N2D”s ex-main writer Choi Jae Young will be working on the production of the show.

The concept of the show is to choose a sport and train for it either long-term or short and play the sport in the end. The emcees are to go to a town and play with the civilians there. The filming will mostly take place outdoors but at times, they will film indoors in a studio as well.

Many are anticipating Kang Ho Dong’s signature energy and liveliness for this show. The public is also excited for Lee Soo Geun’s witty variety TV skills as well as Kim Byung Man’s exceptional athleticism and slapstick comedy.

“Our Town Physical Variety” will start airing on April 9.
