Jung Suk Won and Baek Ji Young Want to Be Like Brangelina

On the most recent episode of MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment News,” Jung Suk Won talked about his relationship with Baek Ji Young, how and why he decided to marry her, and his future plans. 

He said, “We started talking about getting married since the very beginning of our relationship. After our relationship became public, she used to joke, saying, ‘Now you’re responsible for me.’ To be frank, I wanted to get married sometime next year, but I proposed to her to make her feel more secure in our relationship.”

Jung Suk Won further explained, “I didn’t think she was ‘The One’ when I first met her. But I was eventually drawn to her understanding, considerate, and thoughtful nature. I miss her even more after we argue. She’s precious. I need her in my life. I was attracted to her lively, down-to-earth character, and unexpectedly innocent and elegant sides.” 

He also talked about the first time his parents and Baek Ji Young’s parents came together to meet one another. He said, “Both of our parents like us. My parents like Baek Ji Young because she’s beautiful inside and outside. Although Baek Ji Young looks strong and independent on the outside, she was so nervous before meeting her soon to be in-laws. I helped her calm down and everything went smoothly in the end.”

Jung Suk Won picked the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie couple as his role model. He commented, “The Brangelina couple is my role model. I want to do a lot of charity work with Baek Ji Young. If and when we have children, I want to take them to different places for charity and voluntary work too.”

Currently, both Jung Suk Won and Baek Ji Young have a busy month ahead of them. Baek Ji Young will make her official Japanese debut on May 1 and have an independent concert scheduled on May 16. Jung Suk Won will be filming “Battle of Yeonpyeong” until mid-May. The film portrays the stories of soldiers during the second battle of Yeonpyeong in June 2002.
