[Soompi Spotlight] 2NE1 and Girls' Generation Steal the Limelight at "Asian Style Collection 2013"

The K-Pop artists undoubtedly stole the limelight at last week’s inaugural “Asian Style Collection 2013” held in Singapore on June 22, 2013 at the Singapore Expo. Featuring a first-ever collaboration of Korea’s K-Pop Collection and Japan’s Tokyo Girls Collection, 2NE1 and Girls’ Generation conquered the crowd by drawing the loudest cheers with their live performances.

When 2NE1 came on stage, it was evident that it was the K-Pop performances that most of the audience were looking forward to. The four-member girl group started their segment with their debut song, “Fire“, followed by “Can’t Nobody,” “Lonely,” and “I Love You“. They brought the night to a new high with their final song, “I’m the Best,” which brought many to their feet dancing along.

The stylish and popular ladies from Girls’ Generation were certainly the best celebrities to round up the night. They brought the house down with their songs “Hoot,” “Dancing Queen,” “I Got A Boy,” and finally “Gee” with their fangirls and fanboys screaming their lungs out.

Other performers like AKB48, AI, The Sam Willows, and Issac were also featured at the one-day extravaganza. Fashion labels from Japan, Korea, and Singapore shared the stage during the four-hour long fashion show and concert.
