Kollaboration DC, Chicago, New York Celebrate Talent in API Community

Soompiers in Washington D.C., Chicago, and New York, be sure to mark your calendars for the following annual Kollaboration shows!

First up, the fourth annual Kollaboration DC Talent Competition and Showcase, aiming to achieve “Empowerment Through Entertainment,” will be happening this Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at the George Washington University‘s Lisner Auditorium. This past April, after an intense round of auditions, nine talented acts emerged as finalists for this year’s Kollaboration DC, and will use this chance to pursue their creative dreams and celebrate the arts in a high-energy environment!

Kollaboraton DC will also be headlined by two of the hottest Asian American acts: Blush, a pop music girl group comprised of five members from the Philippines, India, Hong Kong, Japan, and South Korea, and Gowe (Gift onWest East), a hip-hop extraordinaire aiming to push the boundaries of hip hop as we know it.

Kollaboration Chicago, celebrating its ninth year this year, will also be held this Saturday, September 28th, at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts in Skokie. The twelve aspiring artists were all hand-picked by the Kollaboration Chicago’s executive team members, and are ready to put on a good show that will not only showcase their talents but also empower the Midwest Asian American community. 

General Admission tickets are $20 and VIP Admission tickets, which includes a Pre-show reception and a Meet&Greet with Special Guest, a VIP bag, and preferred seating area, are $40. More information regarding tickets can be found here.

Last but not least, Kollaboration New York‘s 8th annual talent showcase will be happening this Saturday, Sept. 28th, at NYU‘s Skirball Center; this year’s show is set to be the largest one of yet, with 10 finalists battling it out for the top spot. Kollaboration NY 2013 will convince you why New York City is the city where dreams of made of, so don’t miss out!
