Park Si Yeon Missed Her Trial Because of Recent Childbirth
Actress Park Si Yeon, charged with abuse of Propofol along with actresses Lee Seung Yeon and Jang Mi In Ae, missed her 13th trial on the afternoon of October 7 at the Seoul Central District Court because of her recent childbirth. Her 12th trial had been held this past September 16.
At the 13th trial, the defense will give their final case, and the prospective date of sentencing is set to November 4. Whether or not Park Si Yeon would attend the trial on the seventh had been a topic of interest, due to her childbirth on September 24. Previously, during the 12th trial on September 16, the judge had requested her attendance, as there would be time between the predicted date of her childbirth (September 20) and the next trial.
On the day of the trial, Park Si Yeon’s lawyer stated that she couldn’t attend because she hadn’t quite recovered yet. At this the judge said that “For now, she has been recorded as absent,” and confirmed with the lawyer if she indeed had had her child on the 24th. The actress’s lawyer responded that she had been admitted to the hospital after having had a cesarean section, and is still in postpartum recovery.
Park Si Yeon, Lee Seung Yeon, and Jang Mi In Ae were indicted this past March, for the abuse of Propofol.
