“2013 Style Icon Awards” feat. G-Dragon, Sistar, Lee Jong Suk, A$AP Rocky, and More!

On October 24, many celebrities flocked over to the western part of Seoul in Sangam-dong to attend “2013 Style Icon Awards” (“2013 SIA,” henceforth). Already on its sixth year, “2013 SIA” has easily become a popular awards ceremony influencing and expanding Korea’s culture overseas.

The theme this year was “Otherness” and the ceremony awarded ten most influential icons of the year along with granting select figures with special awards. There were originally fifty nominees on the official website of “2013 SIA” and the breakdown for the winners is as follows: research surveys (40%), online votes (30%), and an executive committee comprised of creative directors, stylists and photographers (30%).
