Nichkhun of 2PM Cast in Japanese Drama Special "Kindaichi Shounen No Jikenbo"
Nichkhun of group 2PM has been cast in the 2014 Japanese mystery drama special “Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo – Prison Cram School Case” (or the “Kindaichi Case Files”), based on the comic series of the same name.
According to Japanese music site Oricon, Nichkhun will have a role in the Japanese network NTV’s “Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo” drama special to be broadcast early next year. This will be Nichkhun’s first time acting in a Japanese drama.
After Nichkhun was cast in the drama, he revealed to the local press that, “My character will have an important role in the show. Please look forward to it. I think it’s a good chance for me to learn from other actors, and make new friends too.”
The upcoming drama follows the episode aired earlier in January this year, “Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo – Hongkong Kowloon Treasure Murder Case,” which featured Seungri of BIGBANG. It will once again bring together actors and actresses from different countries in Asia. Japanese group Hey! Say! JUMP’s Ryosuke Yamada is set to reprise his role as Hajime Kindaichi, along with fellow Hey! Say! JUMP member Daiki Arioka, Japanese actress Haruna Kawaguchi and Taiwanese singer-actor Wu Chun.
Nichkhun’s “Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo” will air early next year and will be a serial murder case set in the jungles of Malaysia.
