Director Kwak Kyung Taek Comments on Kim Woo Bin’s Acting
On November 14, SBS’s Power FM Radio “Gong Hyung Jin’s Cine Town” featured director Kwak Kyung Taek and actor Kim Woo Bin from the upcoming movie “Friend 2.”
Kwak Kyung Taek said, “Kim Woo Bin’s determination is both a pro and a con. Without being told, he knows how to act well, get popular, and I’m thankful for that. He prepares a lot before coming to the set. I saw him for the first time in a while, and he became a lot more slim. Whenever he does something, he’s a guy that has to do his absolute best, and that makes me worry sometimes for his health.”
At this, DJ Gong Hyung Jin said that everything the director mentioned was a pro, and if there really are there any cons.
The director replied, “There isn’t anything in particular right now. Maybe if we work together again in the future, something will come up.”
The movie “Friend 2” takes place 17 years after the death of Dong Su (Jang Dong Gun) in “Friend.” Joon Seok (Yoo Oh Seong) is released from prison, and ends up meeting Dong Su’s secret son, Sung Hoon (Kim Woo Bin).
The sequel is also directed by Kwak Kyung Taek, and stars Yoo Oh Sung, Kim Woo Bin, and Joo Jin Mo.
