Hi.Ni Sings Acoustic Version of 'Can't Have You' for 'Reply 1994' OST

Rookie solo artist Hi.Ni has transformed the 90’s hit “Can’t Have You” for the OST of “Reply 1994.”

The music video was released on November 22 through YouTube. It features clips of the singer and her band as well as scenes from the drama that bring to life the lyrics of the song.

Just like the previous OST tracks of the drama, “Can’t Have You” is a remake of a memorable 90’s ballad track. The song is originally by Bank, whose member Jung Si Ro‘s strong and clear vocals shook the hearts of the public at the time. Now, female singer Hi.Ni has updated the track with her attractive low-tone voice and subtle expression of emotions.

“Can’t Have You” was remade and produced by Lee Sang Hoon, who is also the mastermind behind the previously released OST track “Seoul, Here” by Roy Kim. By adding the sound of string instruments to the song, the new version has a more classical touch to it compared to the original from 1995. With Hi.Ni’s beautiful vocals, “Can’t Have You” supports the scenes of the love triangle between Sung Na Jung (Go Ara), Garbage (Jung Woo), and Chil Bong Yi (Yoo Yeon Suk).
