[Recap] Singapore Fans Go Wild at LeeSsang's 1st Asia Showcase

Popular hip-hop duo LeeSsang popped into Singapore this past weekend to present fans with their very first Asia Showcase. Tickets went on sale just three weeks ago and were all immediately snapped up in an hour! The venue Shanghai Dolly was packed to the brim with about 800 fans in attendance eager to watch the members Gary and Gil.

“Hi everyone, I’m Gil. It’s my second time here. I was here for MAMA a few years back.”

LeeSang performed many of their hit songs including: “Modesty is Difficult,” “Clown,” “Ballerino,” It’s a Laugh Behind Sadness,” “Woman Who Can’t Break Up, Man Who Can’t Leave,” “You’re the Answer to a Guy Like Me,” “Simple Life,” “Rush,” “Let Us Meet Right Now,” and “Turn Off the TV.” It came as a surprise to the duo when all the fans sang along and grooved to the funky beats; so much so that they forgot it was time to leave the stage to have a change of clothes! 

In a mini game segment, a lucky female fan was selected to go on stage after correctly answering when was Gary’s birth date. It turned out to be a re-enactment of the peppero game that Gary played with Song Ji Hyo in “Running Man.” Gary proudly said that he will make it even shorter than the one he had with Song Ji Hyo! Nobody expected it when Gil gave Gary a mischievous push from behind and Gary kissed the female fan! Gary was seen fanning himself while the female fan gushed shyly covering her face!  The lucky fan also walked away with a photo and a hug. Oh! What an unforgettable day for her! 

Soon it was time to end, but fans were not satisfied with just spending an hour with LeeSsang. Nobody made a move to leave and kept chanting for LeeSsang to come back on stage! They re-emerged on stage in the end, but only to thank fans for their love and support and to announce that the showcase has ended. It was certainly an electrifying performance that left everyone thirsting for more!
