Actor Kim Jae Won Is Now a Father!

It was recently revealed that Kim Jae Won and his wife have had a baby. This past June, Kim Jae Won got married to his wife, someone he had known since childhood, and in 6 months since their wedding, they are celebrating the birth of their first child. At the time of their marriage, the actor’s wife had already been three months pregnant.

Always considerate of his family’s privacy, Kim Jae Won didn’t even let his acquaintances know about the birth. An official at his agency said, “We didn’t even know here at the agency about the birth. We just heard that he had a son not too long ago. The mother and child are healthy, and she is currently recovering.”

New father Kim Jae Won also received good news this past December 30, at the “2013 MBC Drama Awards,” where he received the ‘Male High Excellence Award’ for his performance in the drama “Scandal.” 

During his acceptance speech, he threw in a quick plug for the MBC variety show he is participating in next year, called “Four Sons and One Daughter,” saying, “There’s a rumor that I’m a public servant of MBC, and I will be appearing in a variety show next year, as well.”
