Park Hae Jin Confirmed as Lead for Upcoming Medical Drama "Doctor Stranger"
Actor Park Hae Jin has confirmed his casting in the upcoming SBS drama, “Doctor Stranger,” taking on the role of a genius doctor.
Park Hae Jin’s agency WM Company stated on January 21, “Park Hae Jin will be in ‘Doctor Stranger’ as Han Jae Joon. We ask for your anticipation and interest.”
Park Hae Jin’s role of Han Jae Joon is a genius doctor in the chest surgery department, who leaves behind his high status as a Harvard professor and starts working at the Dong Woo University hospital in Korea with a secret.
This will be Park Hae Jin’s first medical drama and many are curious to see his transformation.
Currently, Park Hae Jin is playing the second lead for the highly popular drama “Man from the Stars,” which will end in February. As soon as filming is over, he will go straight into “Doctor Stranger.”
Through his agency, Park Hae Jin commented, “I’m honored to be working with director Jin Hyuk, with whom I have special ties from the past, and I’m nervous as well. I will try my best to show the hidden sides of me through ‘Doctor Stranger.'”
“Doctor Stranger” is about a genius doctor who escaped from North Korea and starts working at a prestigious South Korean hospital. The drama will be directed by Jin Hyuk, who was also the man behind “Brilliant Legacy,” “Prosecutor Princess,” “City Hunter” and “Master’s Sun.”
