Jung Il Woo Postpones Fan Meeting, Donates to Relief Efforts
It was announced today through Jung Il Woo‘s official website that his May 3 fan meeting, titled “2014 Jung Il Woo Fanmeeting Il Woo Together,” has been postponed indefinitely out of respect for the ongoing Sewol ferry disaster. It was also separately reported that the actor donated 30 million KRW (~28,874 USD) Hope Bridge- Korea Disaster Relief Association.
A rep of the association stated, “Jung Il Woo personally called saying he wanted to help even just a little with the rescue efforts and relief goods.” The actor donated to the association without his agency’s knowledge. Jung Il Woo has continued to donate to various causes since his debut, giving to the Masan Orphanage and Children’s Foundation and Happy Bean’s Community Child Center program.
Jung Il Woo recently wrapped up the MBC weekend drama “Golden Rainbow” and is set to appear in the MBC variety show “Infinity Challenge” in June as part of the show’s Brazil World Cup Cheerleading team.
