Rain's Hollywood Comeback Film "The Prince" to Show at Cannes Film Festival
Singer/actor Rain’s Hollywood comeback film “The Prince” will be screened for the first time at the 67th Cannes Film Festival to be opened on May 14.
“The Prince” is Rain’s first film following his military discharge last year, and is his first Hollywood movie in five years since “Ninja Assassin” in 2009. This is also Rain’s first antagonist role.
The film is an action thriller directed by Brian A. Miller, and also stars actors such as Jason Patric, Bruce Willis, John Cusack, and 50 Cent. In the film, Rain plays the right-hand man of gang boss Bruce Willis, who plots revenge against John Cusack.
Premiering in Korea in the latter half of this year, “The Prince” will officially start marketing and promotions at the Cannes Film Festival. The teaser and movie posters will be released online.
Rain is currently filming for the Chinese film “Hong Yan Lu Shui,” which is set to premiere on November 11, and he will soon be selecting a comeback work for his return to the Korean small screen, as well.
