EXO Shows Hard Work and Tears for First Night of First Solo Concert

Idol group EXO had their first solo concert night on May 23 with eleven members.

That Friday was the first of their three day concert series for ““The Lost Planet in Seoul,” their first solo concert, at Seoul Olympic Park Stadium. 

Just last week, people wondered if their first solo concert would be cancelled when EXO-M member Kris filed a lawsuit to terminate his contract. After a turbulent week of speculation and uncertainty, SM Entertainment announced that the concerts would go on as planned, with or without Kris. In the end, Kris did not participate in the concerts and the rest of EXO adjusted their performances and choreography. 

Despite missing one member, EXO went all out and  gave lavish and impressive performances of their previous hits such as “Mama,” “History,” “Wolf,” “Growl,” and, of course, “Overdose.” After making last minute alterations to their choreography to accommodate their member change, the EXO members gave it their all in all performances so nothing would seem lacking. 

Near the end, Suho was moved to tears when his members and fans surprised him with an unexpected birthday celebrate. Considering the circumstances of the past few weeks and the gratitude he must have felt towards his fellow members, Suho’s tears were understandable. Seeing his tears, the other EXO members comforted him.

“The Lost Planet in Seoul” concert will continue through the weekend.
