EXO’s Baekhyun Leaves Heartfelt Message for Fans on Instagram Since the News of His Relationship

In the early morning of July 17, EXO’s Baekhyun took to his personal Instagram account and left a heartfelt message for fans, addressing their concerns, as well as his feelings in regard to everything that has happened since the news of his relationship with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon was announced, almost one month ago. The post has since been deleted.

The EXO member wrote:

“Hello, this is Baekhyun. Although this is very late, I’m leaving these words here to say sorry to all the fans for the disappointment and pain that I’ve given you.

I’ve repeatedly written and erased my words several times, but I thought it would only seem like I was adding on excuses and I could not find the courage to express my heart and clear up the misunderstandings.

I also thought those words would be meaningless to say now..Even now, I’m worried and my mind is troubled because you may be hurt again by this message and I might regret putting this up..But I really wanted to make sure that I express my sincere heart so I am writing these words.

I’m so sorry for always hurting the hearts of our precious fans. And once more, I’m sorry for causing even more pain due to the misunderstandings that were created by the situation. I hope that our fans will no longer be hurt..There is so much that I lack, but I will try my best to slowly approach you all again..And EXO is a name that is so precious to me as well. Above all else, I really wanted to tell you that I have never once thought of EXO lightly, or as anything different [than precious].

I will become EXO’s Baekhyun that always tries his best, whether it’s on stage or off. I truly hope these words will reach you with sincerity.”

This appears to be Baekhyun’s second attempt at communicating with fans after the dating news caused many fans to become upset, not only due to the relationship, but because of suspicions that Baekhyun and Taeyeon used their SNS posts as secret messages to one another. Previously, Baekhyun had also made a statement at EXO’s concert in Chongqing, emphasizing that the fans were truly precious to him and that he would continue to work hard.

Earlier, soon after the news originally broke out, Taeyeon also left a message on Instagram to resolve the misunderstandings of the many fans who began to suspect Taeyeon and Baekhyun of posting covert pictures and messages, connecting their Instagram posts to one another. Some even believed the two were intentionally doing it to ridicule their fans, but Taeyeon explained that was not her intention at all.
