INFINITE's Hoya's Ankle Injury Is Worse Than It Seemed, Might Affect Participation in Concert

The ankle injury sustained by INFINITE‘s Hoya during the recording for the music show “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” on July 29 is diagnosed to be worse than it looked like and would affect his future activities with the group.

After a more detailed check up at the hospital for his leg that was twisted while recording for the show, it was confirmed that Hoya had a more serious injury as his ligament was pulled and the back of his cartilage was inflamed.

According to a representative, Hoya would need to wear a cast for one to two months and is adviced by the hospital to have a good rest.

However, with INFINITE recently making their comeback and with their 7-day “That Summer 2” concert only a few days away (first show starts on August 7), Hoya’s condition will affect not only him but the whole group as well.

Although INFINITE’s agency showed concern for Hoya’s injury and is advising the group to adjust their movements (to accommodate Hoya’s absence in the dance numbers), Hoya said that he is willing to do his best for the performance and will have his fighting spirit as pain killers.

A source said, “The other members who are having last minute rehearsals are trying their best to coordinate their movements for Hoya. However, since Hoya’s will is naturally strong, there is still no confirmed decision (on Hoya’s participation in the concert).”

INFINITE’s upcoming concert, “That Summer 2,” is a small-scale, intimate meeting with their fans that will be held from August 7-10 and 14-16 at the Samsung Card Hall Blue Square in Seoul.

Hoping for Hoya’s fast recovery!
