Former Miss Korea Debuts as an Actress in "Nodame Cantabile"
“Nodame Cantabile” continues to gear up for its October premiere with more roles in the cast getting filled up. In the latest casting news, the drama is adding a certified beauty in Kim Yoo Mi, a former Miss Korea.
On August 8, entertainment agency Star Haus announced, “Kim Yoo Mi will be appearing in the Korean adaptation of ‘Nodame Cantabile.'” She will be playing the role of the so-called queen of the conservatory, a voice major who is the first love of the main character played by Joo Won. Since she could not let go of her dream and he could not come to be with her in chasing them, they broke up. She realized too late that she truly loved him.
In a statement, Kim Yoo Mi’s agency said, “It is an honor for Kim Yoo Mi to be cast in this drama after the fierce competition in auditions. We expect her as a rookie actor to work hard and learn a lot through this experience and achieve her aspirations.”
Kim Yoo Mi, after being Miss Korea has had a lot of love calls from many entertainment agencies, but has only now landed her first acting project and will debut as an actress in “Nodame Cantabile.”
Meanwhile, “Nodame Cantabile” has already cast Shim Eun Kyung and Joo Won in the title roles. Preparations for the KBS musical drama are ongoing.
