Girls' Generation's Sooyoung Receives Acting Advice from Boyfriend Jung Kyung Ho

On September 4, Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung attended the press conference for the new Wednesday-Thursday MBC drama “My Spring Day” alongside the other cast members, where she talked briefly about her boyfriend, as well as the difference between acting and singing.

During the interview round, Sooyoung was asked if she received support from her boyfriend, actor Jung Kyung Ho. In response to this question, the Girls’ Generation member shared, “Because it is my first [acting] project in a while, he was also very happy about it. He advised me to act comfortably, as I will be working with such great and talented actors.”

Additionally, Sooyoung stated, “As a singer, singing is fun, and acting is fun yet difficult. Being a singer and doing activities as a team may sometimes feel like doing work, but having fun on stage with my members for the fans who love me also gives me great joy. I still get the feeling that I’m learning acting, so it’s very fun going to the set every single day with the mindset of a new student. I’m still inexperienced so there are parts that I need to focus on even during breaks. It is difficult, but through this process, it’s fun collaborating with other actors.”

Meanwhile, “My Spring Day” will begin airing its first episode this coming September 10 at 10 PM (KST) on MBC.
