BIGBANG’s Seungri Involved in Car Accident, YG Says He Wasn’t Injured and Wasn’t Drunk Driving
It is being reported that BIGBANG member Seungri was involved in an accident in the early morning of September 12 around 3:34 a.m. (KST) in which his car crashed into a guardrail and was overturned.
According to a report by KBS, the Porsche that Seungri was driving along the North Riverside Expressway in Dongbuichon-dong in the direction of Ilsan right in front of the Shindongah Apartments collided with a Mercedes Benz in the next lane before hitting a guardrail and turning over.
Two people in the Mercedes Benz sustained minor injuries and were transferred to a nearby hospital. At the time of the accident, some reports stated that Seungri boarded an ambulance but got off shortly after saying that he was not badly injured and left the scene.
However, following the release of these reports, a representative of YG Entertainment revealed, “Fortunately, Seungri was not injured. He was transferred to the hospital and after receiving a check up, he received a diagnosis that there were no problems with his body. It was not drunk driving.”
[Update] According to reports, police have also stated Seungri was not drunk driving, but that there is the possibility he was speeding, and police are currently looking into the details of the accident.
