Taeyang, IU, god and More Receive Awards at 2014 MelOn Music Awards

The winners of this year’s MelOn Music Awards are out!

On November 13, the 2014 MelOn Music Awards was held in Seoul and artists including Taeyang, IU, god and more received awards.

The grand prizes for this year went to Taeyang, who got the “Best Song of the Year,” IU, who was awarded “Artist of the Year,” and the veteran group god, who received the “Album of the Year.”

god, who has come back after a 12-year hiatus, took home the “Album of the Year” award with their album “Chapter 8.” god’s Son Ho Young and Danny Ahn received the award in behalf of the group. The “Artist of the Year” award went to IU who has received a lot of love this year for her songs, while Taeyang bagged the “Best Song of the Year” award for his song, “Eyes, Nose, Lips.”

2NE1, EXO, god, WINNER, Girl’s Day, BEAST, SISTAR, IU, Akdong Musician, and Taeyang were chosen to be in the Top 10 and were given awards as well.

Best Electronic Song of the Year: 2NE1 – “Come Back Home”
Netizen Popularity Award: BEAST – “Good Luck”
Hot Trend Award: Soyou x Junggigo – “SOME”
Best Music Video Award: Won Tae Yeon – Melody Day “Another Painting”
Song Writer Award: Kim Do Hoon – Soyou & Jung Gigo’s “Some”, K.Will’s “Please Don’t, CN Blue’s “I’m a Loner”

Best Male Dance Artist of the Year: Block B – “H.E.R”
