Highlights: "We Got Married," Ep. 247 - Too Cute, Too Hot to Handle

Here we are once again for our weekly “We Got Married” recap! For those of you who are new to the show, currently there are three couples including model turned actor Hong Jong Hyun and Girls’ Day Yura, actor Nam Goong Min and trot singer Hong Jin Young, and the most recently added actor Song Jae Rim and actress Kim So Eun. The episode format has changed because now the show has two segments for each couple, but for the recap I will combine everything together.

1) JJong-Ah Couple

Let’s start off with Hong Jong Hyun and Yura. In this week’s episode, it was a continuation from last week’s, when Yura was introduced to her husband’s friends: actors Lee Soo Hyuk and Kim Young Kwang, and stylist Kim Se Joon. When asked if Jong Hyun is her ideal type, she responds by saying that her ideal type was always someone who had a good sense of humor, but also that her ideal type has changed after “married life.” Although it seems like Jong Hyun lacks a sense of humor, to Yura, he is funnier than most people expect him to be. As of now, we have Kim Young Kwang, who continues to ask questions about their intriguing relationship, Kim Se Joon, who quietly keeps to himself, and Lee Soo Hyuk, who watches their interaction, but simply wants their food to quickly come out. And can we just take a moment to appreciate Lee Soo Hyuk’s swoon-worthy voice?

What makes these meetings very interesting and fun are the random comments made by their friends.Young Kwang brings up the fact that they expected Jong Hyun to be on the show with an older woman. Soo Hyuk explains how Yura has this bright, positive energy, which is still good for the couple…and at last, the quiet Kim Se Joon finally speaks, saying that he thinks that they are perfect for each other! Poor Young Kwang…why did he bring that up?

Ladies, this will be a swoon worthy moment! Just imagine your loved one preparing an event for you, taking you to a Korean barbecue restaurant for your birthday and surprising you with a birthday cake. Jong Hyun knew how much Yura loved eating meat, so he took her to eat her favorite food! Jong Hyun is charismatic, but a tad bit clumsy, seeing that he bumped into the table pretty hard as he was on his way to the “bathroom” (where he was really preparing her cake). They make plans to go visit Yura’s hometown, Ulsan. Jong Hyun explained how he thought that going to see her parents for her birthday might just be the best birthday gift. Throughout the episode, you can see that Jong Hyun tries his best to do everything Yura wants, even calling her “noona (older sister)” and “Princess Yura.”

Cuteness overload ahead! After riding the train a little longer than expected, they finally reached their destination! As they walked along the harbor, Yura mentioned that there was a perfect proposal location nearby and that he should propose to her. As she stood on steps, he was looking up at her and said some sweet things, but obviously that wasn’t everything she wanted to hear. All Jong Hyun could do was stand there and try to say those three words, but instead he just blushed, laughed, and fell to the floor. Yura came down and he whispered in her ear and they shared a sweet hug. But who knows what he really said, but I’d like to think that he said those three words to his wife.

2) Cheese Ball Couple

I have to say that the Song Jae Rim and Kim So Eun couple is my favorite couple! I think they are just so real, honest, and open that its just so entertaining to watch their chemistry. This week’s episode for this couple was definitely the most epic and entertaining of all so far! They took the spotlight award this week for sure! Get ready for some hotness overload!

In last week’s episode, we saw that Jae Rim and So Eun went to meet up and eat with a couple of members from the actor-singer idol group 5urprise, including the charming Seo Kang Jun. And this guy definitely caused Jae Rim to show his jealous side. But seeing this side of him was too cute and funny. And once again, we see Jae Rim’s skinship as he tries to show that So Eun is his girl. They receive their mission card, which tells them to do a photoshoot and of course, Jae Rim is just way too excited!

Ladies and gentlemen, today is Jae Rim’s day. The planner explains their photoshoot concept and pretty much says that she’ll trust Jae Rim to do his best with the skinship and intimacy. He asks the planner what she expects for their “Level 6,” and she says she’ll leave it up to their imagination. Now cut to Jae Rim’s close up facial expression and a sequence of their behind the scenes footage. It is going to be HOT! I don’t think I have been so excited about this show before! I got nervous and excited just watching their chemistry because I am so curious as to what Jae Rim is going to do for each pose. We’ve seen very cute sides of this couple, but NO, today we were able to see a very HOT and SEXY side of them. The planner told Jae Rim that he shouldn’t smile that much, but he responds saying that he can’t help it. He explains that there are three things that people cannot hide from others. Those are poverty, coughs, and love. Jae Rim was just smiling from ear to ear.

They both agreed that because they modeled and participated in the photoshoot as a couple, it was easier with the chemistry and they were more comfortable, and they also had more fun because they had good conversations in between. Literally squeals and swoons! They are perfect together! Later on, they went from ultimate hotness to a cute, sweet, casual couple and then went back to the “LEVEL 6” hotness that Jae Rim and the hosts were waiting for. Although Jae Rim played it cool, he admitted that he didn’t know where to keep his eyes when they were so close together. And half the time, I think he had his lips puckered and ready to go. Although Jae Rim is a tough, macho guy, a part of him really squirms under So Eun. Today’s episode will definitely go down as one of their most memorable for this cheese ball couple!

3) Naughty Couple

Last week, Namgoong Min and Hong Jin Young decided to go on a picnic, so they prepared their food and picnic basket! Although Jae Rim is the one that is known to say those cheesy statements to his wife, I find this couple to be cheesier and kind of child-like.

During their picnic, they just continue eating, forgetting to feed their dogs. I guess Jin Young always asks Min to close his eyes, which causes EVERYONE, including Min, to think that she is going to give him a little kiss. Every time she asks him to close his eyes, he ALWAYS spends some time wiping his lips. Somebody is expecting a kiss! I personally thought that she was going to feed him one of those herbal medicines, but turns out she made a small flower ring and randomly asked him if he wanted to live with her.

There is definitely a reason why they are known as the “Naughty Couple.” He asks her to take off her shoes to put on roller skates, but she asks him why he always tells her to take things off so easily. But he responds by saying, “Did I tell you to take something else off?” Enter in the sexy music. Then he tries to help her with her kneepads, but gets flustered as he accidentally slightly touched under her leg. Enter in the sexy music again. Jin Young tries to help him put on his knee pads, but they end up laughing hysterically together because they realize she put on the elbow pad on his knee. And there they were wondering why it was too tight on his knee.

The couple rides through a flower patch and they exchange flowers and put them in each other’s hair. Jin Young mentions that even though it wasn’t a special event, just spending time with each other and sharing natural affection was happiness to her. Later on, Jin Young prepares to give her husband a Thai massage and as she is dancing towards him, he wants to follow her. So together, for a few minutes, they just spend time dancing and imitating each other. I guess they are cuteness overload too!

Today’s episode is definitely one you won’t want to miss out on!
