iKON's Bobby Discusses Goals and Scars for GQ Magazine's "Men of the Year" Edition
Bobby, member of YG Entertainment‘s upcoming male group iKON, has showed off his irresistible charm for the December issue of fashion magazine GQ Korea.
For this year’s final issue, the magazine put together a list of 2014’s nine most influential male celebrities. One of the stars to make the “Men of the Year” list was none other than Bobby, who rose to stardom after winning Mnet’s hip-hop survival show “Show Me the Money 3.”
Regarding his growth as an artist during the show, Bobby said, “I think the set-up of survival shows optimizes the development of skills. You end up with scars, and you learn about your weaknesses. Although I suffered a lot as well, in the end, I had clearly improved [through the experience].”
“Although I won ‘Show Me the Money 3,’ I was not the best rapper on the show. I think my performances were strong,” Bobby confessed, and added, “I want to be recognized by everyone that looks at me objectively. I want to keep on growing, and I have the desire to go past the mountains to reach the skies, and then go beyond space.”
“I think it is important to have teammates that share the same interests and goals. iKON members are like brothers to me, and I think the competition between us can become the fuel for me. Doing everything with my iKON brothers will be a lot of fun. Our music will get slowly get bigger,” he concluded by expressing his excitement over debuting as a member of iKON.
