Super Junior’s Kangin Steps Down as “Show Champion” MC, Program to Take Hiatus Until January
It has been confirmed that Super Junior member Kangin will no longer be standing as the MC of MBC Music’s program “Show Champion.”
On November 26, a representative of MBC Music shared, “At the end of today’s live broadcast of ‘Show Champion,’ Kangin will be stepping down from his position as MC.”
Along with the announcement of Kangin’s leave, it was revealed that the program itself will be taking a hiatus for about one month due to the redevelopment and relocation of the “Show Champion” stage, before returning to television in January of 2015.
The rep also explained, “[Kangin’s] replacement has not yet been decided. As there is still time remaining until the beginning of next year, we plan to find a new MC while reorganizing the program.”
On his last day, Kangin posted on his personal Instagram account, “I was threatened to take a selca for my last broadcast of ‘Show Champion.’ To commemorate my last broadcastㅜㅜIt’s been fun ‘Show Champion,’” along with a photo of himself and the fans in the background.
Meanwhile, the Super Junior member first joined “Show Champion” as the main MC earlier this year in January.
