Kil Gun Releases Official Statement about Contract Dispute with Soul Shop Entertainment

On December 2, singer Kil Gun responded in a press release to speculations about tensions with her former management agency Soul Shop Entertainment.

In the official statement, Kil Gun expressed her desire to clarify the situation and to give reasons for her silence on the situation.

She stated, “I have received an official notice from Soul Shop about the termination of my contract and have replied to the notice. But besides that, nothing else has been settled. I suffered no small amount of mistreatment while at Soul Shop, and based on Soul Shop’s response, I plan to reveal the truth in accordance with the law and my conscience.”

Kil Gun said that she looks forward to returning as her usually bright and lively self once this season of difficulty and injustice is over. She continued, “I am sure you have many things that you are curious about, but I thank you for believing in me and bearing patiently with my silence on the situation. Depending on Soul Shop’s response, I will disclose more concrete and detailed information. In front of the law and God, I swear that I will only speak the truth. This time has been not only very hard but also very painful.”

On November 25, Kil Gun and Megan Lee submitted to the Seoul Central District Court requests for an injunction on their contracts.
