WINNER Takes Home New Rising Award at 9th A Awards Ceremony

YG Entertainment’s super rookie boyband WINNER is continuing its winning streak by taking home the New Rising Award at the A Awards ceremony held last December 9.

After being awarded as the “Best New Artist” at the MelOn Music Awards 2014 and at the recently held 2014 MAMA, the five-member boy group, that is a product of the reality survival program Who Is Next: WIN, has added another accomplishment under their name by winning the New Rising Award at the 9th A Awards ceremony.

“We’re grateful that you gave us this big award. We’ll think of this award as an encouragement for us to do even better. Thank you very much,” said WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon during the group’s acceptance speech.

The 9th A Awards is a ceremony organized by Montblanc Korea and the fashion magazine Arena Homme Plus wherein the brightest men are recognized. Aside from WINNER, other awardees included actor Jung Woo Sung, MC Jeon Hyun Moo, baseball player Oh Seung Hwan, architect Jo Jeung Goo, and designer Choi Cheol Yong.
