Weekly K-Pop Music Chart 2014 – December Week 2
After sweeping all the music programs last week, A Pink’s new song “LUV” sweeps our chart this week with a perfect score of 1000 points. It moved up 13 spots to become our new No. 1 song. A Pink joins SISTAR, Girl’s Day, and BEAST as the only artists to have two chart topping hits in 2014. A Pink was No. 1 earlier this year with “Mr. Chu.” Only three other songs had a perfect 1000 point score this year: Soyu and Junggigo’s duet “Some,” Akdong Musician’s “200%” and Taeyang’s “Eye, Nose, Lips.” Congratulations to A Pink.
“LUV” is the title song of A Pink’s 5th mini album, “Pink LUV.” Collaborating once again with Shinsadong Tiger, who wrote their chart topping hit “No No No”, “LUV” is about a young woman reminiscing on her first love. The additive melody makes the song easy to sing along.
Last two week’s champion, Kyuhyun’s “At Gwanghwamun,” drops one spot to No. 2. Meanwhile, G-Dragon and Taeyang’s collaboration “Good Boy” moves up three spots to No. 3.
There is only one other new song in the top 10. Moving up 14 spots to No. 6 is Park Hyo Shin’s “Happy Together.” Park Hyo Shin has enjoyed a good 2014 with his big hit “Wild Flower” which is still on many charts despite being released half a year ago. This latest single “Happy Together” is written by the singer himself. It is a healing song conveying the “Happy Together” message. Lyn is featured in the chorus part, and her vocal complimented beautifully with Park Hyo Shin’s husky voice.
