Top K-Pop label SM Entertainment, which has discovered and generated top stars like BoA, SHINee, Go Ara, EXO, and Girls’ Generation, will be hosting its largest global audition yet.
“The 2015 SM Global Audition” will be held for five months, from January 9 through the month of May. Beginning in Korea, the audition will travel to a total of 28 cities and 15 countries, including Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Canada, and Singapore.
Super Junior-M’s Henry, Red Velvet’s Joy and Wendy, and f(x)’s Amber were themselves recruited through the SM global audition process. Yearly, the auditions attract numerous aspiring artists. The “2014 SM Global Audition,” for example, drew roughly 80,000 auditionees.
This year, auditionees can audition for five categories, singing, dance, acting, modeling (fashion/CF), and songwriting/composing. Top contestants will be given the opportunity to sign a contract with SM Entertainment.
