Announcing Soompi Awards 2014: Cast Your Votes NOW!

Can’t believe it’s already that time of the year – welcome to the 10th Annual Soompi Awards! We’ve celebrated the achievements in K-pop every year since 2005 (a big shoutout to edward1849 for running the awards for the past 10 years!!). With the addition of launching SoompiTV this past year, we’re happy to announce that we’ve added voting for the K-drama fans as well. Who were the best villains, your favorite SLS (second lead syndrome) or idol actors and actresses this past year? Make sure to go through all of the nominees to vote for your favorites!
We know that K-pop fans are some of the most powerful fans out there (remember blowing up the EMAs?) and we wanted to include a category to allow fans to be loud and proud! So this year, we will be including a special “Best Fandom” category that will be determined based ONLY on voting from Twitter! Fans can vote by tweeting a specific hashtag: #ILove______ (insert K-pop group name into the blank) during two specific 24-hour periods starting December 26 and January 1 at 8PM KST. Follow @soompi on Twitter for the latest updates!
Voting will last for two weeks and ends on January 6. The winners will be determined by votes from the web, our accounts on LINE, and our Soompi Music Charts (as applicable). So download the LINE app now and get started – find Soompi under “Official Accounts” and add us, and you’ll receive instructions on how to vote!
In addition, we’re happy to share that the Soompi Awards show will air on MYX TV. MYX TV is the leading Asian American cable channel in the US, and they have produced and aired the Soompi Awards show for the past three years. Soompi Awards 2014 will air on MYX TV sometime in February! Please check back for specific air dates.
