“Mix & Match” Yang Hong Seok and Jung Jin Hyeong Leave YG for Personal Reasons
It has been revealed that Yang Hong Seok and Jung Jin Hyeong, former trainees of YG Entertainment and eliminated contestants of “Mix & Match,” are no longer a part of the agency.
According to a music industry insider on March 3, the two former trainees recently left YG Entertainment.
Last year, Yang Hong Seok and Jung Jin Hyeong made their names known after participating in the survival program “Mix & Match,” through which the final members of YGE’s new boy group iKON were confirmed.
At the time of the show, the two of them competed against B.I, Bobby, Kim Jin Hwan, Song Yun Hyeong, Kim Dong Hyuk, and Koo Jun Hoe, before ultimately being eliminated from the team.
Following the end of “Mix & Match,” Yang Hong Seok and Jung Jin Hyeong continued to focus on their training under YGE after discussing their future plans through a meeting with Yang Hyun Suk. However, it is said that the two of them made the decision to leave YGE due to personal reasons, and the agency chose to respect their decision.
Meanwhile, iKON is currently gearing up to make its official debut in Korea this year.
