G-Dragon to Collaborate with Contemporary Artists for Art Exhibition

BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon will be collaborating with artists for “PEACEMINUSONE: Beyond the Stage” art exhibition, to be held on June 9 through August 23. He will act as the bridge connecting pop culture with contemporary art.

Through this art exhibition, G-Dragon hopes to blur the lines of music, fashion, and design, expressing his words through modern art. He also wants the idea of contemporary art to be more approachable to the general audience, allowing a wide range of people to relate to this type of art.

A total of 12 noted contemporary artists will take part in this exhibition; G-Dragon has, over the past year or so, carefully picked the different artists for the event.

This “Peace Minus One” art exhibition expresses G-Dragon’s viewpoint of the world, Peace, which is countered by all the negatives, Minus, leaving the end result, One.

With the collaboration of G-Dragon and various artists, this exhibition including over 200 works is to be shown in Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and other countries through a world tour.

Seoul Museum of Art and YG Entertainment, two parties managing this art exhibition, stated, “Through the collaboration of skilled artists and G-Dragon, who is well-known all over the world, we hope this event will introduce a new art culture to the people in Korea as well as those overseas.”
