SBS‘ hit variety show “Running Man” will be having their fifth anniversary soon! After starting in 2011, “Running Man” and its seven members participated in various games with countless celebrity guests. Here are the top 3 most watched episodes of “Running Man,” based on nationwide Nielsen ratings.

Third Place: November 18, 2012 – Park Shin Hye, Lee Seung Gi (20.7%)

Coming in at third place with a 20.7% rating is the November 2012 episode featuring Park Shin Hye and Lee Seung Gi. Lee Seung Gi was just confirmed to star in the drama “Gu Family Book” and was planning on releasing an album, while Park Shin Hye participated in the episode after constant request from the show’s producers. They participated in a 007 water-sniper concept race with the members of “Running Man.”

Second Place: November 11, 2012 – Chu Shin Soo, Ryu Hyun Jin, Jin Se Yeon (20.9%)

In second place was the November 2012 episode featuring the popular baseball stars Chu Shin Soo and Ryu Hyun Jin, along with actress Jin Se Yeon. Cho Shin Soo, who currently plays for the Texas Rangers, had just finished his season at Cleveland Indians and has moved to Cincinnati Reds. Ryu Hyun Jin has been decided to join the LA Dodgers at the time of the recording. In fact, he received the text confirming his contract with LA Dodgers during the recording of “Running Man,” and was congratulated by the “Running Man” cast.

First Place: February 17, 2013 – Lee Dong Wook, Han Hye Jin (21.0%)

The most watched “Running Man” episode to date was the Macau special that aired in February of 2013. The episode saw the members of the show and guests Lee Dong Wook and Han Hye Jin carry out the race in Macau and Hanoi, Vietnam. Countless foreign fans of the show gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite show. “Running Man’s” show-runner PD Cho Hyo Jin later commented, “There were so many people, we were worried that we’d have a safety problem, but we were able to finish shooting without any incidents.” The fans were reported to be very respectful of the filming, as they followed the production’s requests.
