Jo In Sung’s Neighbors Heard Sasaeng Fan Screaming, Have Seen Her Several Times Before
Around midnight on September 30, a Chinese fan forced her way into Jo In Sung’s home.
The incident was covered in greater detail on the October 3 broadcast of KBS2’s “Entertainment Weekly.” The woman banged on the door of Jo In Sung’s house until his younger brother opened the door and then forced her way inside.
“We were extremely startled,” the neighbors commented. “We could hear her screaming. It was especially loud because it was at night.”
Another neighbor reported having seen her multiple times. “When she saw Jo In Sung’s car, she started running like crazy.”
The sasaeng fan had also visited the cafe that Jo In Sung’s family runs and followed the actor around on his overseas schedule. The police reported that she has been following him for two years and has been in Korea for the past two months on a travel visa.
Since the home invasion took place in Korea, the criminal code will still apply despite the woman’s Chinese nationality. Because of this, even if Jo In Sung’s family are lenient, she may still be charged with housebreaking.
