"Sugar Man" Producer Speaks out on Casting 2NE1's Sandara Park
When Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Hee Yeol’s pilot program “Two Yoo Project – Sugar Man” was picked up for regular programming by JTBC, the producers expanded the MC panel to include lyricist Kim Li Na and 2NE1’s Sandara Park.
Yoon Hyun Joon, the chief producer of “Sugar Man” recently spoke out on why he cast the girl group member as a regular MC.
“Since we already had a music producer and a lyricist, I wanted to include a singer,” he said. “I had met Sandara Park several times at KBS and did a program with her twice. She is fun to work with and has a good sense of humor.”
During the recording, Sandara Park reportedly had good chemistry with the rest of the MC panel. “Everyone treated her like a younger sister,” the producer said. “She worked hard and even regretted that she hadn’t done better afterwards.”
This is Sandara Park’s first gig as a regular MC and earlier she spoke out on her feelings about the opportunity through her agency.
“Sandara Park is an idol, but unlike her looks, she is very mature,” the producer concluded.
“Sugar Man” is scheduled to air on October 20, 10:50 p.m KST.
