INFINITE's Sunggyu to Be First Idol Guest MC on "Weekly Idol"

MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol” will be having new idol guest MCs starting next week to take over the duties of Jung Hyung Don, who was recently hospitalized for anxiety disorder.

On November 12, Jung Hyung Don announced that he will take a hiatus from all broadcasting activities. Ever since fans have been wondering how the producers are planning to deal with this unexpected turn, as the show has been hosted by Jung Hyung Don and Defconn for the past four years.

It has now been revealed that the “Weekly Idol” producers will invite some of their most memorable idol guests, especially ones that are close with Jung Hyung Don, to act as special MCs until Jung Hyung Don is ready to resume his post.

The first guest MC will be INFINITE‘s Sunggyu, who is known for being a huge fan (and a close friend) of Jung Hyung Don. Other guest MCs have yet to be revealed, apart from a shoot in early December, when Super Junior‘s Heechul will join Defconn in hosting the Christmas special of the show.

The episode featuring MC Sunggyu is scheduled to air on December 2, and he is currently busy preparing for the upcoming shoot.
