Super Junior’s Leeteuk Gives Witty Response About His MC Role on “Star King”
A press conference was held at SBS’s studio in Mokdong, Seoul for the show “Star King.” The emcees of the show, comedian Kang Ho Dong and Super Junior’s Leeteuk, were present.
Leeteuk started out with his witty comment, “More than half of the Super Junior members are currently serving in the military. I’m grateful to SBS for giving me a job during this time of difficult economy.” He continued, “I’ve been on ‘Star King’ for eight years. At times, people on the street stop me and say, ‘Leeteuk, I’ve been on your show before.’ Unfortunately, I don’t remember all of them, but those were teaching moments for me. I’m on the set recording the show every Monday. But for those people, it’s a once in a lifetime experience. I’ll continue to love ‘Star King’ and do my best.”
“Star King” first aired on January 13, 2007. Throughout the past eight years, the show gave birth to stars like Korean traditional musician Song So Hee, fitness beauty Yoo Seung Ok, trainer Sean Lee, and hair stylist Cha Hong among many others. Talented individuals come on the show to promote his or her talent. Then the competitors go up against each other to ultimately be the “Star King.”
“Star King” with its new format will air every Tuesday at 9:55 p.m. KST.
