Stephanie Lee Reveals What Surprised Her About Korean Dining Etiquette

Model and actress Stephanie Lee revealed a culture shock that she experienced while she was in a Korean restaurant.

On the December 3 broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s “Happy Together 3,” she reveals, “When I first came to Korea, I was really shocked because of toilet paper.”

She says, “People were eating elegantly, but then suddenly, they rolled up toilet paper and wiped their mouth with it.” She then says, “I didn’t know why they wiped their mouth with toilet paper.”

Eric Nam agrees, “I got shocked because of that, too. In America, you use toilet paper only in the bathroom, and you use napkins to wipe your mouth.”
