DSP Media Is Still Waiting for an Official Decision From KARA Members
Amidst the rumors of KARA breaking up, their agency DSP Media has stated that it is still waiting to hear from the members in regards to their decision to renew their contracts.
Of the four remaining members in KARA, Goo Hara, Gyuri and Han Seungyeon‘s contracts are all set to expire on February 2, and still have not made the decision whether or not to renew them.
Previously, in response to the rumors of the breakup, DSP Media responded, “There hasn’t been an official decision to disband the group.” However, on January 11, multiple industry insiders reported that the three members have already decided not to renew their contracts and have been looking for new agencies since the end of last year. However, since their current contracts have not yet expired, the decisions haven’t been officially set in stone.”
In repsonse, a representative from DSP Media stated, “There still haven’t been any decisions regarding the members’ renewal of their contracts. We will wait for their decisions up until the last day of the contracts.”
Meanwhile, Goo Hara and Seungyeon recently had an emergency meeting with the CEO, and Youngji has removed KARA from her Instagram account.
