Jessica Makes List of Newly Rising Chaebol Stars as a Successful Fashion Entrepreneur
Jessica, former member of Girls’ Generation, has surfaced as a newly rising chaebol star.
During tvN’s “The List 2016” broadcast on the January 25, newly rising chaebol stars, in their 20s and 30s, with tremendous incomes were revealed.
During this broadcast, Jessica placed fifth, making a name for herself. Jessica, who always had an interest for fashion, is known for successfully making the transition from singer to a fashion entrepreneur, and has launched her own lucrative fashion brand.
She gained attention when the vastness of her fashion company was revealed through this broadcast. Acting as both the executive director and chief designer, Jessica currently has 46 different stores dedicated to her fashion brand throughout China, Hong Kong, and Macau, with her main office in Hong Kong. She will also be expanding to stores in United States as well as England, launching her brand globally. Her pop up store in Seoul last year managed to bring in an income of 10 million won (approximately ($8,300) within four hours of opening.
“The List 2016” named Lee Kwang Soo in first place for newly rising chaebol star. The other stars include Kim Soo Hyun in second place; Girl’s Day‘s Hyeri in third place, JYJ’s Kim Junsu in fourth place, rapper Dok2 in sixth place, SISTAR’s Soyu in seventh place, and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon in eighth place.
