SM Entertainment Reportedly in Talks to Collaborate With Grocery Chain E-mart

Korean grocery giant E-mart and SM Entertainment are reportedly in discussions for a collaboration.

On February 2, a representative from E-mart revealed that they are considering collaborations on developing products that utilize the strengths of both companies. The representative stated, “The collaborations we’re discussing would combine E-mart’s distribution know-how and SM Entertainment’s culture contents.”

Should the collaboration get the green light, it is likely that shoppers will see some of SM’s brands – namely, their artists like Super Junior and EXO – on E-mart products. However, E-mart has made clear that this plan is currently only in the discussion stage.

E-mart stated, “It’s true that a collaboration with SM Entertainment is in the works, but so far we haven’t worked out any details regarding what sort of products will be made.”
