Competition Heats Up as "Produce 101" Reveals Its Week 3 Rankings

On the February 5 broadcast of Mnet‘s “Produce 101,” the contestants had to form teams of five consisting of trainees from different agencies to go through a group assessment mission.

Ahead of the mission, actor Jang Geun Suk announced, “Through this review, 37 of 101 trainees ranked after the 62nd place will be eliminated.” The surprise created a sense of urgency among the contestants, and they each put forward all their skills and effort to put together a group that can achieve success.

Also during the broadcast, “Produce 101” revealed its third week ranking for contestants. JYP‘s Jun Somi maintained her spot at number one from last week, narrowly beating Jellyfish Entertainment‘s Kim Sejung who also maintained her second place spot. The difference between first and second was only 249 votes out of the total of 400,299 votes between the top two.
