Kris Plays Basketball for Team Canada at NBA All-Star Celebrity Game
Former EXO member Kris (also known as Wu Yi Fan) joined Team Canada at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Toronto on February 12!
The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is held every year in the lead-up to the NBA All-Star Weekend, and is played by famous actors, athletes, TV personalities, musicians, and more. Kris played alongside fellow Canadians Win Butler of Arcade Fire, tennis player Eugenie Bouchard, actor Tom Cavanagh and more on the team that was coached by rapper Drake.
In the matchup against Team USA at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Team Canada took home the win with a score of 74 to 64!
In an interview prior to the game, Kris told a Chinese news outlet, “I started playing basketball when I was 11, and received formal training as a basketball player in China when I was 15.” He also shared that he was the captain of a basketball team when he was in school, and that they did well at a national competition.
On February 12, Kris shared a photo of the back of his jersey hanging in their locker room to his Instagram. He writes as the caption, “Here we go!”
