Jeon Do Yeon Confirmed To Make Her Drama Comeback With Korean Remake of “The Good Wife”

Actress Jeon Do Yeon has been confirmed to make her first drama comeback in 11 years with the upcoming tvN drama “The Good Wife.”

“The Good Wife” is the remake of the American television series by CBS and is about a woman who assumes responsibility for her family after her husband, a focused and heartless prosecutor, lands in prison because of a political corruption scandal. Jeon Do Yeon will play the role of the wife, and Yoo Ji Tae is currently in talks to star as the husband.

Jeon Do Yeon’s participation has garnered more attention because this marks her comeback to the small screen in 11 years. Her last drama was for SBS‘s “Lovers in Prague” in 2005, although she did make a cameo in the SBS drama “On Air,” as well.

Jeon Do Yeon said, “I received the offer for this drama when I was looking for more diverse roles. It’s a new genre that I haven’t tried before and I was attracted to the storyline. I’m excited, but also a bit nervous about starring in a drama after so many years. Nonetheless, I’m grateful that many people are looking forward to seeing me return in a drama. The drama is scheduled to start filming in March.”

Director Lee Jung Gyo shared, “It seems like a miracle has happened. I’m so excited that I can film with Jeon Do Yeon. I think it will be a fun drama. I think it will raise expectations for actors,” showing his great anticipation for the upcoming drama.
