Byun Yo Han and Ahn Jae Hong Show Support for Ryu Jun Yeol Amid Controversy
Actors Byun Yo Han and Ahn Jae Hong are showing their support for fellow actor Ryu Jun Yeol amid the controversy surrounding him.
On February 24, actor Byun Yo Han posted a comment on his Instagram account, “Don’t be swayed by the breeze. Take your time and stay the course. Fighting!” He also uploaded the poster of Ryu Jun Yeol’s upcoming movie, “Glory Day.”
It is a well known fact that Byun Yo Han and Ryu Jun Yeol are close friends. Three members of the “Glory Day” cast – EXO’s Suho, actors Ji Soo and Ryu Jun Yeol – are close friends and often appear on Byun Yo Han’s Instagram. Fans even came up with the abbreviation “byh48” to refer to Byun Yo Han’s group of friends and which those three are described to been a part of. It seems as though Byun Yo Han took it upon himself to encourage his friend Ryu Jun Yeol who got caught up in the “Ilbe scandal” in recent days. There has been a rumor that he is a user of the questionable site “Ilbe,” which Ryu Jun Yeol strongly denied.
Actor Ahn Jae Hong, who has also been a long-time friend of Ryu Jun Yeol and worked with him in the drama “Reply 1988” and the currently airing variety show “Youth Over Flowers – Africa,” also showed his support. He said in an interview on February 25 KST , “The [Ryu] Jun Yeol that I know isn’t the type of person to goes into a site like that. There must have been a mistake.”
C-JeS Entertainment, Ryu Jun Yeol’s management agency, also commented today that it plans to submit a petition to the police for them to investigate into the netizens who stole Ryu Jun Yeol’s ID to join Ilbe and who were the initial distributors of the Ilbe rumor, as well as netizens who continue to leave malicious comments despite Ryu Jun Yeol’s explanation.
