CLC to Make Their Japanese Debut in April
Cube Entertainment’s rookie girl group, CLC, will be making their debut in the Japanese market a little over a year after their domestic debut.
CLC will be releasing their first Japanese EP, titled “High Heels,” on April 13. They will also be promoting in Japan and the mini-album includes the Japanese versions of “Pepe,” “First Love,” “Like,” and “High Heels.” The album will also include an exclusive cover of Kylie Minogue’s song “I Should Be So Lucky.”
On March 4, Cube said, “In following the pattern of the Japanese idol production system, we plan for CLC to become a force that will lead the Hallyu market in Japan.”
The girl group is scheduled to appear in the reality program “Beautiful Mission,” which will be broadcast through the Japanese cable channel “Kawaii-an TV.” Many famous Japanese idol stars appear on “Kawaii-an TV” and it is considered to be a specialized idol channel. CLC’s appearance will be the first time that Korean idol content will be broadcast on the channel.
CLC released their third mini-album “Refresh” on February 29, adding two new members Elkie and Eunbin (who is currently not promoting with the group due to her activities in “Produce 101”) to the original five-member group.
