Turbo's Kim Jung Nam Expresses Regret at the Group's Initial Disbandment
At the group’s 20th anniversary reunion concert, Kim Jung Nam expressed his regret at Turbo’s disbandment.
Despite the group seeing great popularity during their active years in the late 90s, Turbo held their first ever concert, “AGAIN IN SEOUL,” on March 5 at the Seoul Olympic Park SK Handball Stadium.
During the concert, the group played a video documenting the history of the group. Though Turbo began as a duo, Kim Jung Nam left in 1997, citing conflict with his management. Kim Jong Kook carried on Turbo’s name with new member Mikey until his contract expired in 2000. Then, in late 2015, the three came back together and reformed Turbo, releasing their first album in 15 years.
At one point, Kim Jung Nam cried out, “Don’t leave me again, Jong Kook!”, expressing his regret at the past while making concert-goers laugh.
Turbo’s concert will continue in Seoul on March 6, and then will have shows in Gwangju and Busan.
