"Produce 101" Final Girl Group to Be Managed by YMC Entertainment
YMC Entertainment, home to artists like Ailee, Lucky J, and Baechigi, will be in charge of managing the 11-member girl group launched through Mnet‘s “Produce 101.”
The popularity of “Produce 101” has exploded within the past couple of weeks and many trainees have already gained solid fanbases, both domestically and internationally. This has not gone unnoticed by advertisers, concert organizers, and other industry players, who are already trying to negotiate deals with YMC Entertainment.
The agency says they have been approached by universities and large corporations about concert appearances. Some requests come from overseas, particularly from China and Japan, proving the show’s wide popularity.
“It’s true that we are being constantly approached [about the girl group]. However, we have yet to make any decisions regarding possible appearances,” a YMC representative commented to local news outlet MyDaily.
Meanwhile, 61 trainees continue to compete on “Produce 101,” all hoping to make the final 11 and promote as a group for one year. Starting this week, Mnet will be implementing changes to the voting system.
