Girls' Generation's "I Got a Boy" Becomes The Most Viewed Girl Group MV on YouTube
Girls’ Generation beats their own YouTube record today as the views of their “I Got a Boy” music video has surpassed “Gee.”
As of right now (12:00 pm PST) “I Got a Boy” has 157,365,288 views while “Gee” has 157,339,917.
Released on January 1, 2013, “I Got a Boy” was from their fourth full album of the same name. There was heavy anticipation for this album as it had been a year since their previous album “The Boys.” Upon release, the song received mixed feelings due to the dramatic changes in style throughout the track.
“Gee,” which was uploaded to SM Entertainment’s previous YouTube account in June 2009, had a takedown scare a few months ago as it was mysteriously unavailable for a few hours.

Rounding out the top five viewed girl group music videos is 2NE1‘s “I Am The Best,” followed by Girls’ Generations’ “The Boys” and “Mr. Taxi.”
