Younha Shares How She Convinced Her Parents to Give Her Piano Lessons

In a recent pictorial for KWAVE, Younha revealed that she had started begging for music lessons from her parents at the precocious age of five.

In the pictures, Younha is dressed in a warm red sweater with minimal makeup and blonde highlights in her brown hair. She gives off a girl-next-door feeling with her low-key fashion and set against a backdrop of flowers and picture frames.

“I think I’m the type of person who, when I want to do something, I have to do it,” she shares in the interview. “I was like that since I was young. At the time my family was in difficult circumstances. Even things like food was a concern, but I really wanted to take piano lessons. My parents told me that I sat down on the street in front of the piano school and cried like crazy until they agreed.”
