Lee Hi's "Hold My Hand" Under Suspicion of Plagiarism
After making a comeback in three years and successfully climbing up charts, Lee Hi has become embroiled in suspicions of plagiarism.
A video comparing Lee Hi’s song “Hold My Hand” and Charlie Puth’s “Marvin Gaye” has been circulating online and gaining attention.
The video draws comparisons between specific parts of both songs and accuses “Hold My Hand” of plagiarizing “Marvin Gaye.”
“Marvin Gaye” was created by Charlie Puth and Julie Frost in 2014. While “Hold My Hand” was composed by Ahn Shin Ae and B.A. Wheeler with the lyrics being written by Ahn Shin Ae and Tablo.
